Beautylish helped debut a new luxury cosmetics brand from China called LINA CHOO. Along with creating a landing page to showcase their premier product line, a collection of lipsticks inspired by artists, I also worked with my team to put together an interview with their founder to help further promote the launch.

We started to plan for the first cosmetics’ launch from Wayne Goss before the COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place orders were enacted. We had grand plans for a campaign shoot with models but we had to downsize our efforts for the safety of the team involved. The campaign still turned out beautifully and the launch was a success!

Wayne Goss had been working on a cosmetics line for years; he had hinted at it to his followers in previous years – but now it was finally going to be released! I wanted to tease the launch – no one knew what the products were going to be and I wanted to help drum up the intrigue and hype.

The collection launched with a longform sales page displaying the 3 products in the collection: lipstick, lip gloss, and lip pencil and featuring quotes from Wayne Goss himself.

Client: Beautylish

At the end of every year, Beautylish puts together a mystery bag for sale that is shipped out in the coming new year. It is based on the Japanese new year tradition called fukubukuro and was started by Beautylish as a thank you to their customers and community. For the 2020 version of the Lucky Bag, I had the pleasure of working with folk artist Dinara Mirtalipova. 


The visual theme for this year’s lucky bag was the crane, which symbolizes longevity and good luck.
I used Dinara’s beautiful spot illustrations and pattern to create the landing page, and a thank you email that was sent to our customers who generously bought a bag to be donated to a teenager in need.

A yearly limited edition makeup brush to celebrate the Lunar New Year. We tapped Steph Fung to do the complete set of animals from the Chinese zodiac. The illustrations of each brush were then handed over to master Japanese brush artisans. So far 2 of the 12 brush designs have been released.

When Good Molecules launched its first seven products on Beautylish, I tasked my team with creating content that would help the customer choose the right products and then teach them how and when to use the products once they were purchased. 
For initial education, we created an online buyer’s guide. Once a customer had bought the bundle of producrs, they would receive a pamphlet in their order along with a follow-up email that linked them to more information about the products, what they were used for, when to use them, and how to incorporate them into their current skin care routines.

At the end of every year, Beautylish puts together a mystery bag for sale that is shipped out in the coming new year. It is based on the Japanese new year tradition&#38;nbsp; fukubukuro and was started by Beautylish as a thank you to their customers and community. 

Every year, we work with a different illustrator to bring a theme to life. One of the most fun things about this project is that we get to create a custom wrapping paper and a hangtag for the products that come in the Lucky Bag. For the 2018 version of the Lucky Bag, I had the great pleasure of working with Steph Fung (no relation!). I love her cute illustrations and I had been waiting all year to be able to ask her if she would work on this project with me.

The theme of Lucky Bag 2018 was the Seven Lucky Gods of Japan. It was a really fun project to work on and I even turned Steph’s illustrations into gifs for the landing page.

When Charlotte Tilbury released a limited edition smokey eye edition of her popular Instant Look in a Palette, I produced a campaign for Beautylish that included email marketing, homepage placement, a landing page, and a tutorial on how to create two different looks using this eye shadow palette.
