Illustrated Travel Journals
ABOUT THE PROJECT

I started doing illustrated travel journals after my first big vacation in approximately 4 years. I was going to Iceland – somewhere I had wanted to go to for the last 9 years (before it was even really a travel hotspot people had thought about)! I took a million photos, but I wanted to document all the places I had gone to every day, so I drew.
The travel journals had gotten a little more elaborate after every trip (you can see my progression here; latest entries displayed first) and it became a bit daunting to complete them for my whole trip, as my yearly vacations ranged 2-3 weeks and I tried to do an entry per day! But I love looking back fondly through the entries that I have completed.
